You know, whenever I see a shitty movie, I just stick three fingers up, and I MST3K the movie. Annoys other people sometimes though. Wonder why?........

I think that every DVD needs to have a MST3k commentary track.
If I ever make a movie I will see that this is done.

Speaking of commentary tracks, anybody hear the tracks that Mike is doing for Off-Color Films? He's done Reefer Madness and Night of the Living Dead so far and he's got Carnival of Souls early next year (already out on the official site, autographed by Mike himself).
I've only heard NOTLD. It was padded in spots, but I admit, when he hit the mark he hit the mark.

Well of course the movies themselves are a waste of time. That's why they turn them into episodes.:p

I'm about to get a few more episodes in the mail, I'd like to hear a few opinions on them if any of you got any (either the episodes or opinions).
They are:
213-Godzilla vs. the Sea Monster
410-Hercules Against the Moon Men
423-Bride of the Monster
601-Girls Town
There are three catagories for MST3K: Great episodes, good episodes, and better than the other crap on TV. Which catagories do these fit under? Are they good choices?

A small bump because I got a load of new eps in the mail and just finished them all. They were (and my scores out of ****):
112-Untamed Youth (*** 1/2, remember I hold season one at lower expectations)
310-Fugitive Alien (****)
322-Master Ninja (***)
402-The Giant Gila Monster (***)
403-City Limits (*** 1/2)
604-Zombie Nightmare (****)
608-Code Name: Diamond Head (***)
610-The Violent Years (disc skipped something bad, didn't get to watch it)
611-Last of the Wild Horses (****)
612-The Starfighters (** 1/2)
617-The Sword and the Dragon (****)
620-Danger!! Death Ray (got all funky in the second half, so didn't get to see the rest, but the first half was a *** episode)
What do you, the viewers at home, think? Any thoughts on these episodes?
Captain Bryan

That's a pretty big chunk of episodes I haven't seen..
I've seen Master Ninja, very good episode, had me laughing pretty good:D
and I've seen Zombie Nightmare, very good one, Adam West is in this one to boot:D
I haven't seen The Starfighters, but I have seen the second one, it was.. different:D

You have to be fucking kidding me, Starfighters had a sequel? Please tell me that there is some other movie out there named Starfighters because this movie is the first movie in history to have absolutly no plot whatsoever! How can they make a sequel out of that? Hell, how did they make a movie out of that in the first place?
EDIT: Whew...I just checked IMDB (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0058615/movieconnections) and luckily, this flick didn't have a sequel. Bry must have been talking about something else. That's a load off my mind.

Don't scare me like that! Especially if you haven't witnessed the horror that is Starfighters!
I can't wait to see Star Force though. Fugitive Alien was great. One of those episodes where they watch a movie so silly that I could watch it outside of the show. Like Prince of Space.

Plus I got 10 more on the way, thanks to the people of the MST3K Review. Don't know what episodes yet, but they get copied and sent as soon as soon as Rhino announces what episodes will be in Volume 7 (which should be anytime) so he doesn't accidentally send me one that's about to be commercially released.

The Touch of Satan's on Volume 5. Pick it up. It also includes two good episodes (Boggy Creek and Merlin) and a classic (Time Chasers).

About Sandy Frank: that's the word. Van Hagar over at the Review board e-mailed Frank's studio and they said they lost the rights to all the Gamera movies at least. I'm not sure about the others though.
I'm hoping Rhino will strike a deal with Universal so they can distribute the Movie. I refuse to pay the outrageous prices they're selling them for on eBay. So I'm sticking with my VHS hoping that Rhino will do something like that.

I hear that the movie dvd was pretty damn weak too, Like, zero extras. Maybe they could throw a extra on there or something, too, that would be fantastic. I feel kind of dirty for downloading the movie, but it's basically impossible to get any other way right now.

Finally, someone to back me up. I should start a petition or something. Sure they usually do squat with the big studios, but maybe a small time company like Rhino would listen to one.
Problem is I'm too damn lazy and I'd have no clue how to do it.

Hey Bry, you download episodes right? I was wondering, do you use DAP and eDonkey? Because if you don't you might want to try it. They have every single episode up for download there (with the exception of K00-03 of course).
I'd be using it myself, but I had trouble loading the eDonkey program. But most of the episodes I've been sent through the mail are from DAP and they look pretty good on my computer (not perfect, but good).
It'll be an easy way to up your episode collection. However, and I can't stress this enough, read the instructions carefully. It's probably where I went wrong on mine, and I've been too lazy to go back and try again.

Their about an hour and a half long, not including comercials. Sometimes a movie runs too long and they have edit stuff out, and when a movie isn't long enough, they add a short (a small old short film, usually educational but very dated) to the begining.

Whew! I finally got all my DVD pre-ordering done. Those season sets of Enterprise nearly killed me!
Now I'm saving up for more episodes of MST3K. First on my list of the official Rhino releases would be collection Volume 6, since I don't have any of those epsiodes, and the Essentials, so I can have Santa Claus Conquers the Martians by Christmas. :) I'd get Volume 7 as well, but there was that huge problem with Rhino cuting off 50 seconds of footage from Killer Shrews, and I don't want to get in the middle of that until the problem is solved (Rhino is sending out replacement discs, but nobody has got one yet).
As for tape trading, I have my eye on KTMA, season 1, and season 2, since I have so few of those. Any suggestions on what I should have at the top of my list? Right now I'm thinking:
1. Mighty Jack
2. Rocketship X-M
3. The Black Scorpion
Mighty Jack because I love Japanese cheese, and it's the only one I don't have, and the other two because it's the big Josh/Kevin switch for Servo (and Frank is introduced!).

Even though I knew I'd regret it later, today I went on Happy Fun Time Shopping Spree, because I had this irresistable urge to buy Rush Hour and Galaxy Quest. There it was, sitting upon the shelf, Volume 7. Featuring my all time favorite episode (Prince of Space) and three I've never seen (Hercules Unchained, Hercules Against the Moon Men, and the Killer Shrews). It was fifty bucks, but it was MST, and I was lagging behind on my episode buying lately. So now volume 7 is mine.
The purchase was worth it to know that the show isn't forgotten, for when I took it to the front counter, there was a plucky teen girl there that got all excited when she saw it. Then she started raving about Space Mutiny and asked me if I knew which set it was on (which I did). I probably should have gotten her number, since it's so hard to find fans outside of the internet, let alone female fans, but she was a bit talky. Cute though.

I take it she was just another customer?

Maybe you'll see her again. :)
And yeah, I think Prince of Space is my favourite now, as well. I like it very much.

No, she was the girl who rung me up.

If she works there, why not go back there and get her number?

I've already got two girls I'm working on as it is, no need to add a third (unless I'm dreaming of a really kinky night). Besides, like I said, she was nice, but a bit chatty. I think she might eventually drive me insane. I might see her again eventually, I like Best Buy.
