Awhile ago, (Not sure if it was here or somewhere else) I posted a thread looking for some multiplayer Starfighting games, I was quite specific that I wanted it to look decent [scratch X-wing vs Starfighter] A while later, me and Captain Obvious were talking about it, he showed me Freelancer.
I love this game, it's really fun, Full of action and depth, I haven't even played it online yet and I'm in love with this game, I don't think I've ever played a game for 12 hours before(unless it was RO) but here I am:)
I have only two problems with the game(so far.. the online may suck or something, we'll see..) In this game, You play a freelancer(hmmm. obviously..) who looks for jobs in a bar, you enter the bar and there's usually like 4 or 5 people sitting in there some offer you a job, some offer you rumors and crap.. Great, fine, however, when you talk to these people, the conversations come off as kind of "suggestive" in a gay sense(it doesn't help that guy main character "Trent" makes a "jerking off" jesture when he says "My name is Trent." or they come off as really, really forced, and fake, and sometimes the responces that they say don't make sense.. Like someone will tell you a rumor, and then after you say thanks for the heads up, the other guy will say "Awesome, you won't be sorry." What the hell would I have to be sorry about, exactly? My only other issue with the game so far is that while on ground you don't get the freedom of motion you get in space.. as a matter of fact you get no motion at all.. You get a few choices of places you want to go. Bar, traders, ship store, equipment store, so on..
I highly suggest getting this game, It's like $20 or so.:)(I'll probably buy this game)
