Ginger Snaps (http://www.ginger-snaps.com/)
One hell of an awesome movie. And the sequel is just as awesome.
Ginger Snaps II--Unleashed (http://www.ginger-snaps.com/unleashed/home.htm)
I havent seen the third one, but if we carry it at work, Im SOOOOOOOO gonna get it.
Anyone else see this series? Thoughts? Opinions? Snack Cakes?
They are a lot better horror movies than a lot of the crap put out nowadays. I actually jumped at certain parts [thats saying a LOT from me]. Ghost [character in the second movie] was pretty annoying, but if you can tolerate her, you can REALLY appreciate the relationship between her and Bridgitte. I was completely engrossed by the characters in the first movie. Thats a good part as to why I cared to see them again. The strength of these movies doesn't come from their ability to scare or how good the movie looks, but in how invested you become in the main characters. Ginger and Bridgitte have more depth and are more interesting than all the stereotypical ditzy teens in slasher flicks combined. Their relationship as sisters feels genuine, and so do their personalities. The fact that Emily and Katherine are really good friends in real life really help that.In my personal opinion, I think that Bridgitte stole the show in the first one, and with the second one starring her, I was completely satisfied.
