What is your favourite FF game?
I like FF8 the most. It's most likely because it was the first one I played.
I never really could get into FF7, it just wasn't appealing to me at all..

7. I LOVED that game! :)

8 was cool too though.

I prefer FF6. I have been a FF fan since the first one, and I think 6 is the best. Tho I do like Junctioning in 8.

I cant actually remember FF6 to to be honest.

Can you get it for the PC?

Captain Bryan

I cant get ZSNES to work.... just get a black screen when I try and load a ROM on it. :(

Captain Bryan
06-10-2004, 02:51 PM
Really?
That sucks... it may be the rom.

Atrax robustus

Ive tried it with a few roms. And Ive tried double clicking on the ZSnes Icon itself. Same thing happens, window comes up and a black screen is all I get. When I close it I get the "Not Responding" thing. :(

I cant believe that nobody has voted, OR EVEN MENTIONED any of the older FFs.

was stuck between FF6 and FF7. FF6 is a joke compared to FF7+ when you only count graphics but the game and story were entertaining, imo. I finished the first CD of FF8 but was left bored to tears. It really didn`t interest me aside from the great designs of the characters and scenes. Squall felt like a regurgitated version of Cloud. The whole gunblade thing looked cool, though.

Anyway, Bryan, you`re missing a bunch of FF games in that poll like FF Legends and FF Tactics.

I loved FF7, it was the first FF i've ever played, and i loved it. I've played a lot since including 10,5,6,8, and 9. I hated every minute of 8, although i did like the summoning, jucntioning and squall's gunblade. 6 and 9 were pretty fun, but they still can't hold a candle to 7
:D

hmm....loved the summons after 6

Now that I can be alone again, I hope to finish off 8. Finish off 9, and then start 7 again.

the Shiva and Ifrit summons in 8 were awesome. I think the summons in all the FF games after 7 were pretty good. But the way they went about with Shiva was rad.

Ah...FF Legends. I recall playing that game for hours, once. I'd sit by the window sill and get lost in my Gameboy. Ah...memories.

Gameboy is a wonderful thing.

Indeed. I cant wait for the remake of Shining Force. That game is responsible for my love of Tactical RPGs.

Shining Force? I don't think i've ever played it, is it any good?

I'm going to pick what is the unofficial Final Fantasy Game (started out as FF and became another title)...Chrono Trigger.

If I had to pick an actual FF game by title...it would be Tactics.

Captain Bryan
08-03-2004, 01:28 PM
I wasn't aware that Chrono Trigger was going to be a FF game.
Makes sense, though.

Amirius

I didn't know it either, but I really don't care either way. CT was still one of the best RPG's i've ever played:up:

Hey, it didn't suck that bad. It wasn't as good as the original but it didn't suck completely.

meh, I didn't like the fight engine and the story was confusing as hell

Drakon

The story was overly convoluted, yeah. Too much worrying about story, not enough about char delevopment, IMO.

Amirius
08-04-2004, 03:04 PM
Hmm. The two of you have a point but I still like the game.

I may have liked it if I could've gotten into it. But every time I tried to play it (5 or 6 times)...I could only stand the game play for a few hours before I finally quit.

Drakon
08-04-2004, 04:38 PM
Oh, I liked the game, dont get me wrong. But its DEFINATELY no Chrono Trigger.

Speaking of Final Fantasy...I have heard mixed things about X-2...is it worth playing? I loved X and would like to know what happened to Tidus.

I own this game, and I have to say, its one of the better FF games of recent. If you can get past the "Girl Power" Theme, its really fun, and a welcome change of pace.
