We've added a Number of Online Users Today: to the usual Currently Online Users: list you see on the front page (http://www.quarter-four.com) and the forum index (http://www.quarter-four.com/forum/home.php?s=)
What this done is: tells you all the users who have been online at Q4 during the day. At midnight, it resets itself. And it should work based on your timezone settings. If you're logged out, it'll use the server's time zone to determine the time.
So say if your account is set for Eastern time on Q4, if there were one member on for each of the 24 hours during the day, the number of online users today would be at 24. But if you were logged off of Q4, you'd be on the server's timezone (which, I think, is Central) so it would only record the 23 members because it's an hour apart.
I dunno if that expllained it :\
