So who's played it? Any one of the game in the series counts. Even if you only played one.

Myself, I only played Super Castlevania IV (LOVED IT), Dracula X (hated it) and Castlevania 64 (insteresting 3rd person concept but weak game). Never got around to playing Symphony of the Night, which I heard was amazing.

Super Castlevania IV was one of the good stuff when I think about side scrollers. Yes, it's a 16-bit game but the quality of a game is judged by how good it stays through time. Today, in the age of 3D games with polygons and cell-shading, that Castlevania still rules. And most of the Castlevania games, even after this 3D revolution, have stayed as 2D side scrollers (exception being Castlevania 64) That game had great controls. Beautiful levels and great music. It's an old game but to this day, I love the midi music of Super Castlevania IV.

Frankly, when I see trailers of that upcoming Van Helsing movie, Castlevania comes to mind.

Castlevania Lament of Innocence fooking OWNS on PS2!!! I never played the N64 games, so I didn't know how it would translate to 3-d, but it is AWESOME!

There was a real sense of accomplishment when I FINALLY killed the Forgotten One (with all SIX of his life meters!)

And when I beat the game and was talking with my cousins as the end credits rolled I was like 'shut up a second!!!' - turns out there's a very familiar tune in the final song...!

I never beat the first one on NES, but played Simon;s quest for ages!

I played them all, except the new one for GBA. I like them all, but SOTN and Simon's was the best
