View Full Version : A Quarter Four ad

I made a quick Q4 ad for a Project Wonderful (http://www.projectwonderful.com/) space and it was incredibly boring but I already bought some quick ad space to try PW out. I'm thinking of replacing the boring one with this animated one below. The boring one is basically the same one with Bry and the Quarter Four title above his head. =yawn=


Any thoughts, guys and gal?

I like Martoff. :p But you gotta admit "roommates living together and one of them is a robot" is a big webcomic cliché.

GLITCH FOR LIFE!!!!!

PA has Div, but that only makes three roommates. Unless you count the Fruit Fucker.

As much as I enjoyed the old Q4 comic, in retrospect Glitch was kinda lame. I don't think it had anything to do with cliche, but to an outsider just introducing himself to the comic, they take one look at the group, we have three humans and...wtf is that?

With the four characters that SJB is using now, someone could take a look at the strip and instantly know them. They don't have to explore all the strips just to pinpoint why there's a robot in the group. Even then, he was just kind of there to be there to begin with.

Now if Glitch was a Fruit Fucker (and he might have been, I don't think things were developed that far in the old strip), then things would be interesting.

In a way, I liked Glitch the most. Other than the rarely-seen Xi, it was ironic that the most believable, human, and down-to-earth character was, in fact, a robot.

Erik, Glitch and Xi were good characters. Jamerson was, to me, the most boring one.
