I'm in a kind of Superman mood. I took a look at that "Look, Up in the Sky" documentary and it kind of reved me up on Superman (the doc's not worth buying, but it's worth a rent).
So which one of the classics do you like best? I've always been partial to Superman II, myself, even though the Richard Donner Cut would have bumped it out of the way had it's ending been more coherant. Never saw the old serials though, sadly.

I haven't seen the 3rd and 4th Reeve Superman movies in a long while.
I think I actually preferred Superman Returns overall. Although the first two thirds of Superman I were amazing. Even when I was in the hospital for over three weeks after falling down 4 storeys and only then coming off of heavy meds, I saw less than five seconds of a prairies scene on TV and I instantly knew I was watching Superman I. That's how good it was.

4 stories? Ouch, is all I have to say.
Glad you recovered Jay.

Thanks. If not for that fall, I doubt I'd have joined Hype and met Bryan and eventually made Quarter Four with him. So because of that fall, we're all slacking off in here now. :)
Hmm. I never saw those pre-Reeve Superman movies nor the alternate cuts of the Reeve ones.
edit= Now that I think about it, I think my vote would be different had I recently watched the Reeve Superman movies again.

I'm getting ready to watch them for my days off, even Mole-Men (which is included on the Superman Four Disc set). Don't have the serials, but I could probably get 'em off of NetFlix.
I dug Returns a lot too. However, I enjoy watching Reeve much more than I do Routh, for some reason. I like George Reeves a lot too. As dated as that old series was, I get a kick out of it (though it's no Adam West Batman).
