Happy new year, guys and gal (:p).

Are you folks anxious about the new year? Did 2006 not turn out so good?

Yes happy new year!

2006 was... I dunno like every year I suppose for me. Some good, some bad, but I am still alive and pretty happy so it must not have been all that bad.

I drank a 750 ml bottle of Captain Morgan last night. So far the New Year is throbbing and nauseous.

Just curious, did anyone make any new years resolutions for 2007? if so, how is it going?

For myself i decided to quit smoking this year, I've been smoking since i was 12, and figured it was time to throw away that crutch. I actually quit before new years due to illness and just threw away my pack so i didn't smoke anymore right before the ball dropped.
Been 2 weeks now since i smoked. I seem to be ok, and i've hit everything that would possibly make me want to smoke with retarded grace, but without that smoking crutch. :)
Just curious to see if anyone else has been sticking to theirs, or if they gave up already..

I happened to make a "resolution" for new year's even though I didn't really intend to. I'd rather not talk too much about it as it's personal but it's basically the standard "working on myself" but with a deeper meaning into my existence (boy, that's deep). I'd like to think I'm keeping it but I'm starting slow, pacing myself, rather than rushing into it and ending up crashing and burning less than a month later.

that sounds like a tough one! I thought i had it rough with the smoking thing.. but i try to stick to ones i can normally not fail at.. like one year i gave up mustard.. i've never liked mustard, it's not like it was a hard task. This was actually the hardest one so far for me.. maybe next year i will be brave also and actually work on something that will be better me from the inside out. I wish you all the luck on your resolution :D

I wish myself luck, too. With my track record, I'm not too confident I'll manage it but I'll take a leap of faith and try this time.

I'm sure smoking can be just as tough depending on how badly you're an addict. I wish you luck as well.
