Quarter Four: The Webcomic?

For the past months, I'd been humouring this idea for a new webcomic on Q4. This time, chiefly written and illustrated by me. Now we all know how it went down the LAST time I was involved and was only the illustrator.... I'm treating the idea as purely hypothetical all the way until if this actually DOES get off the ground.

I figured I'd tell you about the webcomic and keep you updated from there. If the webcomic idea doesn't work out, then you at least have some purty drawings to look at.

I will attempt to keep you all updated on this if you'd like and am open for any questions. Here are the four main characters. Click on the thumbnails for a larger pic.

Neither can I!

Though unlike the last time, I'm taking my time before I jump into posting the first one. I'll be working on stories in advance as well as tinkering with webcomic organisers for the front page and archive, and designing the pages.

Thanks though Jay is based off a friend of mine. Saadji is based off of me. My ethnic heritage doesn't involve turbans much. ;) And I'm not so full of myself that I'd stuff half the cast with me-influenced characters. :p

It's about four people sharing a place together. The name would be about each helping to pay a quarter of the living expenses or each being part of a single household . 4x½=1. However you wish.

The plot...no real plot right now. It's not really a beginning-body-conclusion type story.

I'll start off by setting up the premise and then I'll go from there. There may be some storylines to advance the strip. But as the current plans have it, it may just be many random moments per strip, much like many other webcomics. We'll see how things go IF Q4 gets off the ground and has its feet planted.

As for era...it'll be now. General conflict? hmm...none, I guess.

This is quite a surprise. And a coincidence. Just a couple of hours ago, I was telling a friend that someone submitted some scripts back during the old Q4 and that it just didn't level up to EML's genius. I certainly didn't think I'd see you stopping by again, Erik. :eek:

It is total coincidence that I did stop by. My internet time has been all but eleminated due to the real world being a bitch. But I checked my email and saw that I got a notice that someone had posted in a thread that I tagged forever ago. So, I came to investigate.

I like the look of the new Q4, as well as the characters. This will definitely be where I spend my internet time when I get it.

Working at the worst job on the planet for the summer. Then back to school in the fall. Hopefully school gives me more free time than this job has.

Working in a gypsum mill/factory. 8 hour days on a rotating 3-crew swing shift. Every week I work different hours. This week is 11 pm to 7 am. Last week was 7 am to 3 pm, next week is 3 pm to 11 pm. It's usually upwards of 90 degrees on the floor, and I spend my eight hours unjamming machines and lifting 30 to 60 pound containers of gypsum compound.

Yea, i use it for my main email too. But then i had it changed at SHH because DF22 was garnering a bad rep, and i had become a mod. So, I took up the full name of my favorite comic book character of all time, Erik Magnus Lehnsherr. :) But i was affectionately and angrily referred to as EML :)
