Hmmm...It's not great, but how bad it is depends on how we're supposed to use it. They're say we're supposed to only use one hand, and I can't picture myself playing a game with one hand. For one hand, the control pattern is very akward. It would be very frustrating to reach down with your thumb just to press on A and B. Not to mention how hard it would be to do combos for games like Mortal Kombat. I see what they're trying to do, but I have this gut feeling that everybody will just be using two hands for this thing anyway.

On the other hand, it could revolutionize the way we play Duck Hunt.

I'm iffy. Since right now, the biggest selling point with this thing is super backwards compatibility, I can't possibly fathom playing Super Metroid or Illusion of Gaia, or even Mario Kart with that kind of controller.

That's where Nintendo has always made it's money though: Accesories. They were the first company to bring a mouse to a console system, which cost a fair amount, IIRC. The Gamecube memory cards are at least $10 more expensive than the PS2 or XBox equivelants and the controllers are pretty expensive as well, but then again, all systems have a high price tag for controllers nowadays.
