The Movies

I was skiming through my newspaper and found this little article about upcoming video games that were playable demos at the E3 convention. There were little blurbs for KillZone, Gears of War, Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and Agaju: The Sacred Path. The one that stuck out for me (since I'm a movie buff) was this one...

"The Movies" for the PC: Think of it as "The Sims" for movie directors, coming this fall. Players control a studio, hire stars, write scripts and direct films. If your star gets too fat, steady exercise or a quick trip to the plastic surgeon will do the trick. Overwork a director and watch him try to commit suicide. Would you rather get him into therapy or alert the media so they can be there when he jumps and boost the buzz around your new flick? Later on, players can watch the finished movies and submit them to online judges.

Sounds cool to me. I've never played the Sims but it looked fun. I'm definatly going to have to check this one out.

I've been hearing of it for over a year now. It seems to be a great game, but I think I would wait a bit to let me decide if I like it.

This does indeed sound like an interesting concept.

November 8th. I just placed a preorder at Amazon. I rarely would be willing to pay $60 for a video game, usually I'd wait for the price to drop, but I've been waiting for a game like this for a while now, so I went for it.

I don't go to Target anyway. It's in Boise, and by the time I drove there, I would have already spent over $70 for it including gas money.
