Alrighty, this is all done with the aid of Photoshop.
we'll start it off with a sig I myself use on another board called Kinetik:

I took the Blade art of the talented Tim Bradstreet, extracted out everything from the pic except Blade and did the rest from scratch.
this is one I made for superherohype.com's own Eric Draven:
http://www.myimgs.com/data/esjaybee/Sigs/eric_draven_sig.jpg
I took a headshot of a crow, the crow drawing from the movie album's cover, a very nicely done sketch of Eric Draven from an artist whose name I forget (if anyone knows, do speak out, please)
here, I made one for this site's own: Drakon. He's a big Vegeta fan (from Dragonball). So I took a drawing of Vegeta and, per his request, added a soul patch and him making the goat head heavy metal symbol \m/. Also, he asked for me to put the 4-star Dragonball which is the ball that started the whole story. That, I did meself on Photoshop. At first, I tried for a cartoony look but it didn't look so nice so I went with this style. Okay, enough of my babbling.

I need some Photoshop advice here. While I do not have Adobe Photoshop, I do have a program like it called Paintshop pro which is kind of similar in function. I just want to know how you isolate a singular image, say like Godzilla, from a picture and put him into a different background and such, like in a picture Chuck E. Cheese restaurant.

hmm...I`d have to get Paintshop, install it and tell you that way because though the two programs are similar, they`re not that similar that I can guide you with mere Photoshop knowledge. I`ll try.

Ok. I guess I'm just assuming that they have similar functions. Oh to learn how to use that Paintshop pro...I can do all those manipulations I want to do. And if you're all lucky I might post them in here. I can tell you one of my projects at the request of some friends from a Ninja Turtles website forum have challenged me to make manips of Bebop and Rocksteady. Frankly just thinking of what they'd look like based upon pictures of the real animals just makes me cringe with how ugly they will look.

Paint shop pro isn't a good photo editing program.. it's more like a coloring program.

Ah. Looks like I'll have to get Adobe photoshop somehow.

a member of Super Hero Hype and the p32 board Blackbolt raves about also requested I make a sig for him. Since he is still using an avatar I had made for him ages ago, I decided I'd grant his request . Took the skull from don't-know'where (ask Drakon, I think he recognises the artist), and the bike from a Google search I did on "Ghost Rider". Created the flames, cycle reflection, chains and whatnot.

now, another sig I use over at Kinetik. Again, I took a piece of work from Tim Bradstreet's collection. And if anyone is wondering about that Toeffy tattoo on Frank's right forearm: I put it there as a joke when someone put a quote from some other member in their signature and Toeffy said he'd wish he was in someone else's signature too. So I granted the wish. :p

Kinetik member, he4dsh0t, asked me to make him a sig. Got nothing else to say....

So I drew this with no intentional influence in mind, btw:
http://www.myimgs.com/data/esjaybee/drawings/digitald.jpg
then I inked it (badly) and coloured it via Photoshop (first time digi-colouring for me). I realise that steam effect is pretty tacky-looking so no need to point it out:
http://www.myimgs.com/data/esjaybee/drawings/digitald_v2.jpg
then I tweaked the final result of the drawing itself into a sig for DigitalD (someone on another board I go to). The end result?

So there ya go. First sig ever that's 100% pure eSJayBee

I made you an avatar once with that fat cat. I don't recall saying I'd definitely make you one again, Movies.

this is another I did from scratch à la DigitalD. He just asked for something was sleek like Deus Ex and such. And it had to be a bit patriotic (Canada). So...yea. Here.

How do I ad sig's like that to my personal sig area?

Instead of text, you add the image tag and post the url of where your picture is located. Not sure if you can upload a sig image from your pc.

no, you can't. The sig has to be hosted elsewhere. They don't work like avatars do. Sorry.
