Thief: Deadly Shadows

"Thief: Deadly Shadows" is the name of the third installment of the popular "Thief" series. Myself, I haven't played the first but I have played the 2nd and loved it. Finished it on...hmm...I think it was the 'hard' level. It's been a while. Anyway, lately, I've been less and less into games because of time. I'm not even entirely sure if I'll check this 3rd one out. What are your thoughts on the Thief series and the 3rd one (not sure when it'll be coming out)


Myself, I loved how it wasn't the typical first-person game where you run around, killing everyone. In this one, you're actually encouraged NOT to kill and patience is a must.

One of the things that's got me a bit worried is that now they're enabling a 3rd-person perspective with Thief 3. Another thing is the title: "DEADLY shadows". Is it possible you might be encouraged to kill more in this?

I had a brief shot at the first one. Thought it was great.

Im looking forward to the new one. Baddies with torches to make it more difficult. I think it could be a classic game in an age of MILLIONS of FPS games! :)

Its a FANTASTIC game! :D
Really addictive and atmospheric!

I cant turn the detail right up yet, but Im hopefully getting my new graphics card delivered this weekend, so I can! :)

Atrax, how did you fare with The Cradle level? I swear that was one of the scariest levels in a game I have ever played, and I did a Resident Evil 2 Marathon when it first came out.:eek:

I hope you have surround sound, because nothing is scarier than hearing footprints behind you, then to turn around and see no one there.

Im not too far at the moment. I just completed the church level. Which is only a few levels in.

I got Doom 3, so Ive been playing that. Even then Ive not had much time lately to play games. :(

Ah, The Cradle is one of the last levels, I won't tell you what it is or what goes on in it. Let me just tell you to cherish levels like the church while you can.:nutz:
