Oakland County to go Wireless

Oakland County, MI has plans to roll out a wireless internet program (http://www.freep.com/news/locoak/wired11e_20050211.htm) dubbed "Wireless Oakland" covering all 910 square miles inside the county. County Executive L. Brooks Patterson unveiled the plans at last night's State of the County address. Additional press coverage via the Oakland Press (http://www.theoaklandpress.com/stories/021105/loc_20050211020.shtml) and the Detroit News (http://www.detnews.com/2005/metro/0502/11/D01-86902.htm) Similar in concept to Philadelphia's plans (http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=05/02/11/1458211&tid=193) covered yesterday.
